Wine Courses

Whether you are a novice or professional Three Counties Wine School offers a range of courses to suit you.

The Introductory Course is a day school and provides the novice wine enthusiast with basic wine knowledge as well as looking at how to match food with wine.

The Intermediate course includes the major grape varieties around the world and teaches students how to taste wine professionally using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. The next intermediate course is scheduled to start on Thursday 8th. September 2011 in Berkhamsted so book now for your place on this course.

The first evening we will be tasting wines from Israel and these promise to be a delight for everyone.
During these 10 weeks you will learn how to taste wine and evaluate. We will talk about the regions of the world, the climates and the grape varieties. by the end of the course you will be able to discern different flavours and tastes. and so much more.

The Advanced Course (COMING SOON) provides a more in depth look at the huge variety of wines around the world and concentrates in detail on wine tasting technique.

An in depth look at the wines of Europe and compare these with the New world. We will be tasting at least 10 wines.

The wines of Iberia, particularly Portugal are deliciously full bodied and often unique. We will be tasting wines from most of the regions in Portugal, finishing with the king of all wines, Port.

What do I need?

All you need for the courses is a pen and paper and enthusiasm to learn about wine. ISO Wine glasses will be supplied by Three Counties Wine School and are also available to buy at Ł12 for 6 which is extremely good value for money.
